Rockingham Wedding

Rockingham is a city in Richmond County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 9,672 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Richmond CountyGR6. Rockingham is the home of North Carolina Speedway, which was a staple of the NASCAR schedule for nearly 40 years, before the race was discontinued in 2004. It is also the hometown of American Idol (Season 5) finalist Bucky Covington.

The racial makeup of the city was 65.57% White, 29.90% African American, 1.10% Native American, 1.34% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.81% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.10% of the population.
